Re: IndexOutOfBoundException while reading file with IDV

Hello Heiko-

The good news is that this bug is fixed in the next release. The bad
news is that the next release is 2 months away. ;-)

We're looking to see if there is a way to tweak the file to get it
working in the IDV 1.2 release.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I'm trying to read a netcdf file with IDV. The general structure of the file is quite similar to a lot of other files I've read, but this time, I get the following error-message:

ERROR: An error has occurred:

java.lang.Exception: Problem getting data 133

133 is one of the dimension sizes. I tried to find out a bit more and got to this message:

java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 133

        at ucar.ma2.Index$IteratorImpl.getFloatNext(

        at ucar.ma2.Array.copyTo1DJavaArray(
        at ucar.ma2.Array.get1DJavaArray(

The exception happens when I try to plot i.e. a Color Shaded Plan View of BC_ForestFires from

It would be nice if somebody could have a look at the file and the problem since I would like to visualize the file.
