That's exactly the type of advice I needed; thanks! I am currently having 
problems compiling, as I get a lot of errors about missing .h files as well as 
other issues not related to this commented-out line. So, I will need to 
research these compiling issues.

You just need to comment-out one line in one of the source files and
recompile.

File 'scrolledw.c' is in the 'comet/garp/gui' directory.
