might have to do some crafty pqact entries to get the fields I want to map

  All of the GFS graphics on the Model Analysis and Forecast web page are 
generated from the global CED grids available at NCEP. 

  Also, in case you have not heard, we are creating a new site to provide these 
graphics. The interface is different, but it allows us more flexibility in 
maintaining the site: http://mag.ncep.noaa.gov. There are links on the main 
page to provide your feedback.
