This is likely an openmotif issue. I have seen these problems with the GUI
when using openmotif 2.3.2 or 2.3.3
I recommend removing your current version and installing 2.3.1
RPMs can be found atftp://ftp.ics.com/openmotif/2.3/2.3.1/ - be sure to
download and install both
openmotif-2.3.1* and openmotif-devel-2.3.1* for your
system.

To build, I installed the libXp-devel, libX11-devel, openmotif-devel,
and xorg-x11-fonts-ISO8859-1-75dpi packages and edited
Makeinc.linux64_gfortran to point to /usr/include/openmotif for the
MOTIFINC directory, and to /usr/lib64/openmotif for X11LIBDIR.
I didn't find any obvious problems in make.out, so I've made it
available on the Intertubes in case anyone can use it to make sense of
what I'm seeing:
