RE: OGC tech committee meeting highlights

NOTE: The galeon mailing list is no longer active. The list archives are made available for historical reasons.

Ppt is at
http://www.e-science.clrc.ac.uk/documents/staff/andrew_woolf/Grid%20OGC.ppt.

Just to clarify a little - in a collaboration with the Tasmanian Partnership
for Advanced Computing, we're looking at building a prototype to allow exposing
a legacy app through either OPeNDAP or WPS or (eventually) full Grid job
submission service. There's a nice conceptual hierarchy here:
- DODS: synchronous, local data
- WPS: asynch, remote data
- Grid job submission (e.g. JSDL): resource provisioning, staging

It's early days so no results to show yet. Thanks to Ben for reporting this.

Hi Ben,
Thanks for the useful info and postings etc. Below you mention Andrew Wolfs' presentation on grid/Opendap - do you know where it is located? Thx, Glenn
