meaning of XML graphics in WCS 1.0

Hello Listers,

in the attempt to dig deeper into the WCS spec I miss some XmlSpy syntax, maybe 
somebody kindly can educate me (couldn't find info on the Altova site):

- in CoverageOfferingBriefType, there is a yellow box with a line outside the 
box labelled CoverageOfferingBriefType, leading to additional elements.
Q: what does this mean?

- in DomainSetType a bent arrow goes from gml:EnvelopeWithTimePeriod to 
gml:Envelope.
Q: what does this mean?

Notably these elements are not explained in the WCS XmlSpy intro image (Fig. 2).
