There will be a disruption of service for users of the Unidata main
demonstration THREDDS Data Server, thredds.ucar.edu, on Tuesday April 2nd
from 5:30 PM MDT to 11:30 PM MDT. Our cloud demonstration server,
thredds-jetstream.unidata.ucar.edu, is a near clone (but with a shorter
window of available products) and is available for use.

SCHEDULED OUTAGE NOTIFICATION
On Tuesday, April 2 from 5:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. the Mesa Lab (including
the ML datacenter), and Marshall Field Site (MFS) will be CLOSED to all
staff and visitors. The last UCAR Shuttle departing the Mesa Lab on
Tuesday, April 2 will be at 5:30 p.m. The Foothills and Center Green
shuttle service will not be affected and will operate as scheduled.
This action is precipitated by a network outage that will impact all Cisco
IP phones and the UCAR VPN. Any extended telephone outage triggers a
building closure due to 911 services being unavailable. During this time,
all network services to these facilities will be down while NETS performs
in-depth testing, data collection, analysis, and problem resolution
regarding an ongoing issue with the core routers. Networking at other
UCAR/NCAR facilities (including Internet access), Cloud services (Google,
Concur, Workday, and UProcure) will not be affected.
NETS understands this is inconvenient to staff but believes a dedicated
testing window with the Juniper engineers is critical to resolving a
long-standing and debilitating bug that is affecting NETS ability to move
forward with hardware installations, upgrades, and new services.
