Are you using the fully qualified domain name in the file
/awips2/edex/bin/setup.env and confirmed that /awips2/data/pg_hba.conf uses
the *internal* IP address found with /sbin/ifconfig ?

This is a log of the RPM installation.  If EDEX is failing then you need to
look for ERROR messages in /awips2/edex/logs/edex-ingest-20140826.log.
