Students: Apply now for FORMOSAT-3/COSMIC Workshop in Boulder, CO, USA
UCAR's COSMIC Program is providing an opportunity for graduate and senior-level undergraduate students to attend and participate in a student session of the Sixth FORMOSAT-3/COSMIC Data Users' Workshop, to be held in Boulder, CO, USA, 30 October - 1 November 2012. All U.S. students (U.S. citizens or permanent residents) submitting poster abstracts are eligible to be considered for travel assistance. The level of support available for each U.S. student is limited and is based on the number of students who apply and the types of assistance requested. U.S. students are encouraged to provide as much of their own support as possible. The FORMOSAT-3/COSMIC mission, a joint Taiwan/U.S. project launched in 2006, provides between 1,000-1,500 daily RO profiles in the neutral atmosphere and 1,000-1,500 daily electron density profiles and total electron content arcs.
