COMET MetEd University Course Support Available

COMET MetEd logo

UCAR's COMET program is pleased to announce the availability of a new resource for instructors teaching university undergraduate meteorology courses. The University Course Support collection is intended to support university faculty and students in their increasingly virtual learning by mapping MetEd lesson content to U.S. university meteorology course curricula.

Introduction to Meteorology

The COMET Program partnered with the National Science Foundation to make MetEd resources more easily usable by undergraduate instructors. Each included course is composed of the most common topical components at the undergraduate level. MetEd lessons appearing within each course subtopic contain some material that is both topically-relevant and academic-level appropriate. Currently available courses include Introduction to Meteorology, Thermodynamic Meteorology, and Dynamic Meteorology. COMET intends to make complementary course imagery collections and additional university course mappings, including synoptic meteorology and more, available throughout the 2020-2021 academic year.

COMET MetEd University Support materials are provided to U.S. universities free of charge, but registration is required access the materials. For additional information about registration, visit the MetEd Use FAQ. For information about the University Support program, see the COMET News Archive.
