[netCDF #OPC-662231]: netCDF 'make check' failed on AIX machine

Howdy Tony!

We have not been able to reproduce your problem here with our AIX systems.

However, ncdump is undergoing some dramatic refactoring at the moment, and I
suggest we wait until it is complete before looking into this any further.

In any case AIX is one of our required systems for a release, so we will not be
releasing netCDF-4 until we can get a clean build and test on our AIX
machines.

I will suggest to Russ that he examine the memory consumption of ncdump during
this test to see if anything funny is happening. (Can you tell me how much
memory you have on your machine?)
