Bill,

There ard known issues with netCDF 3.5.0 and more recent gcc compilers.
Please try using a newer verison of the netCDF with your build environment.
The latest netCDF beta is netcdf-3.5.1-beta13.tar.Z. It can be
FTPed from the pub/netcdf directory of aonymous FTP on our FTP server
ftp.unidata.ucar.edu.

Please let us know if this does not solve your problem.

Cheers,

Tom Yoksas
