The above indicates that the netCDF version 2 Fortran-77 interface can't
be found in the netCDF library "libnetcdf.a".  This is inconsistent to
the earlier indication that that interface was successfully added to the
library:

What does the netCDF library contain?  What is the output of the 
following command

    nm -g libnetcdf.a | grep ncacpy

(You might have to modify this command for your system.)
