The Fortran-calling-C interface that we use is out-of-date with respect
to the latest Intel Fortran compiler. You'll have to patch the
interface and rebuild the netCDF package.

Please do the following:

    1. Go to the top-level source directory.

    2. Apply the patch
    <http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/netcdf/intel-f95-patch> to the
    file fortran/cfortran.h.

    3. Perform steps 3 through 5 described near the end of the file
    INSTALL.html.

    4. Ensure that the environment variable CPPFLAGS contains the
    string "-DINTEL_COMPILER", e.g.

        export CPPFLAGS="-DINTEL_COMPILER ..."

    or

        setenv CPPFLAGS "-DINTEL_COMPILER ..."

depending on your user-shell and where "..." represents other
    options you might have.

    5. Perform steps 6 through 9 described near the end of the file
    INSTALL.html.

Please let me know if this helps.
