The best we can offer you online is the version of the netCDF that was
distributed in 1994.  This may still be compatible with the old code
you are trying to run.

You can netCDF 2.3.2pl2, distributed in 1994 in the pub/necdf/old
directory of anonymous FTP on our FTP server ftp.unidata.ucar.edu.  The
name of the file to grab (in binary mode) is: netcdf-232pl2.tar.Z.
