If those error messages from the netCDF library are being printed, then
it's likely that the library has been correctly linked. The default
action for the netCDF library, on encountering an error, is to print an
error message to standard error and then terminate the program with an
error status. If the program continues after emitting the message, then
the program has modified the default action of the netCDF library.

You'll need to look at the documentation for the program (and, perhaps,
even the source code) to determine if the error messages indicate a
severe or ignorable problem.
