Thanks for the warning.  We checked the ncdump.exe and ncdumps.exe
executables from version 3.5:

  ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/netcdf/contrib/win32/netcdf-3.5.win32bin.ZIP

dated Sept 7, 1999, which I assume is where you downloaded them from,
with McAffee VirusScan, and found no viruses.  Therefore, we think the
virus attached itself on your machine.
