I'm forwarding this to our "group", Steve Emmerson.  We don't officially
support OpenVMS for any of our other software products and don't have
local access to an OpenVMS platform, but we try to incorporate fixes for
netCDF to make it work on OpenVMS, if users let us know what's needed.
