I can't seem to duplicate the problem.  Can you tell me the version of
Solaris (from "uname -a", for example)?  Are you using Sun's make?

Also, if you can wait a couple of days, we will be releasing netCDF version
2.4 before the end of this week.  It's upward-compatible with version
2.3.2pl2, and fixes some bugs.  There's a beta-test version available now
that is fairly close to what we will release this week.
