Version 4.0 is the latest version I could find. It's available via FTP in a
bunch of rpc_40.*.shar files, from the directory:

   ftp://bcm.tmc.edu/nfs/

Sun has given control and maintenance of RPC and XDR to the IETF, in an
agreement available from

   http://www.cis.ohio-state.edu/htbin/rfc/rfc1790.html

There is a version of something called "TIRPC" for transport-independent RPC
available at:

   ftp://ftp.uu.net/networking/rpc/tirpcsrc.tar.Z

The latest XDR and RPC standard specifications, dated August 1995, are
available from

   ftp://ds.internic.net/rfc/rfc1832.txt
   ftp://ds.internic.net/rfc/rfc1831.txt
