Hi Jeff,
I'm guessing you entered the above file name in the text field of the Catalog Chooser.
This attempts to read the file as either an xml catalog file or an xml wms file.
What you want to do is just select the file in File Chooser. Under data source type choose:
"Grid Files (NetCdf...)"
I do not know whether the IDV will be able to read netcdf format that mm52netcdf produces.
