20000712: garp crashing

You might see if you have any stray files in the directories under the $SAT
directory- since Garp may be expecting a directory to decend- as well
as not matching the file template for the sat key at the bottom of 
Garp_defaults.

If you get a core dump, try running:

dbx $GEMEXE/garp core

in the directory of the core file. When dbx comes up to the prompt, type 
"where".

Then clip out the information about what subroutine and calling sequence was 
being used and send that to me..along with "ls -R" from the $SAT directory
and your Garp_defaults entries.

The problem may be as simple as too many files in a directory depending on
how many you have.
