Simon,
does the out2 file exist, or are you attempting to have gdvint create the
file. If it exists, and the projection is not appropriate to your
other file, then you can receive the above message.

Can you provide me with the gdinfo projection information
for the file "outfile" which you are trying to interpolate?

I may need to download a copy of your original file to look at.
