19990127: ps problem

Steve,

The PS driver should be fairly simple since it doesn't require 
any X displays etc.

The ps driver is supposed to be in $GEMEXE and executable.
Assuming thats all correct, I'd check to make sure you 
don't have a file or subdirectory in your current woring directory 
called "ps". I've seen wierd stuff when people have subdirectories
called "nc" for example, and try to use the nc driver. The programs
end up trying to execute the subdirectory rather than the driver.

If all thats ok, then check to make sure you don't have a bunch of
dead gplt and/or ps programs in your proces table- as well
as hung messsage queues.
