I was also curious to see if anyone else was thinking the same thing.
We anticipated that there could (would?) be some folks who would object to
the extra traffic and would unsubscribe, but you are the first to do so or
comment negatively on the (so far) small amount of extra email traffic. We
are VERY sensitive about adding to the email deluge that everyone is
experiencing... we don't like it ourselves!

We really don't want to create a new list for something that should be time
limited. Sending the GOES-16 Admin messages to the existing NOAAPort list
made sense to us given the feedback that the COD guys provided (through
Victor) at the recently held User's Committee meeting.
