Unidata Users Committee

The Unidata Users Committee, composed of university representatives appointed by the Policy Committee chair, is the primary mechanism for gaining scientific feedback on the effectiveness of the Unidata Program. Appointments reflect the range of large and small colleges and universities with undergraduate and graduate emphases where Unidata systems are in use.

The Users Committee meets a minimum of twice yearly and reports to the Policy Committee; its members are appointed for three years. The committee is charged with three tasks:

  1. determining the attitudes of the user community toward the Unidata program;
  2. soliciting suggestions for additions to the data streams and software products; and
  3. facilitating the exchange of ideas among users on the Unidata Program and its systems.
