LEAD

The Linked Environments for Atmospheric Discovery (LEAD) program was a NSF-funded, multi-institutional effort. The goal of LEAD was to create a TeraGrid Science Gateway, a framework for meteorological data indentfication and access. Work on LEAD continues at Indiana University with the Unidata Program Center providing data support.

GEON IDV

The GEON Integrated Data Viewer (GEON IDV) was an extension of the Unidata IDV for exploration of complex three-dimensional data in geophysics. The GEON IDV was created and maintained by UNAVCO with funding provided by the GEON Open Collaborative Project.

CADIS

The Cooperative Arctic Data and Information Service (CADIS) project was tasked with the formation of a portal for Arctic Observing Network (AON) data discovery. The CADIS program was expanded to ACADIS, or Advanced CADIS, to focus on the diverse data needs of the Arctic research community.

ACADIS

The Advanced Cooperative Arctic Data and Information Service (ACADIS) was the continuation and expansion of CADIS, or Advanced CADIS. ACADIS was a joint effort between the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC), the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), and Unidata to manage the diverse data needs of the Arctic research community supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) Office of Polar Programs (OPP).

As of March 28, 2016, the NSF Arctic Data Center serves as the current repository for NSF-funded Arctic data. The ACADIS Gateway is no longer accepting data submissions. All data and metadata in the ACADIS system have been transferred to the NSF Arctic Data Center system.

Unidata Science Gateway

The Unidata Science Gateway unites Unidata technologies with the NSF Jetstream cloud computing platform and open-source software such as Project Jupyter to provide the academic and research community an environment they can employ to access, analyze and visualize real-time and case study Earth system science data. The Unidata Science Gateway is a virtual space where communities can collaborate, share resources, and learn from each other in a classroom or workshop setting.

NetCDF Perl

The netCDF Perl package is a perl extension module for scientific data access via the netCDF API.

GARP

GARP (GEMPAK Analysis and Rendering Program) is an X-Windows/Motif software application originally developed by the UCAR Cooperative Program for Operational Meteorology, Education and Training (COMET), for the display and analysis of meteorological data sets.
