[IDD #YQG-428120]: Fw: attack of the null's in LDM feed

Hi Daryl,

re: VIIRS products now being put into the IDS|DDPLUS data feed
> Do you have any thoughts on this?

This was/is a totally unexpected and undesired side effect of the
installation of the latest LDM on the NOAAPort ingest machines that
feed into the IDD (leno.unidata.ucar.edu, chico.unidata.ucar.edu,
mistral.srcc.lsu.edu, and np[12].ssec.wisc.edu). Its cause is being
investigated and corrective actions will be taken as soon as a solution
is developed.

Yup. We (I) have been working with UW/SSEC on problems that this has
been causing for McIDAS processing.

Again, we (Steve) is investigating the cause of this unintended glitch,
and we will upgrade to a new version of the LDM as soon as a fix has
been developed.

Sorry for the problems!

Cheers,

Tom
