The C++ API is not building.

I believe this is fixed in later releases - 3.6.2 is almost two years old now.
Can you get the latest release, 4.0, and try it?

Also, if you don't need C++, you can turn off the C++ API with --disable-cxx as
a configure option.

Please let me know if this doesn't help.
