Hi Lakshmi, Here are user reports of successful builds with ifort on Mac OS X 10.5: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/netcdf/docs/other-builds.html#ifort_mac_64 Rather than he "3.6.2 snapshot release" mentioned there, you could use the netCDF version 3.6.3 release from June 2008: ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/netcdf/netcdf-3.6.3.tar.gz Also, I recommend not using the "--enable-64-bit" configure option, as it is not needed for making use of the 64-bit offset format variant for large files, and it has not been tested on most platforms.
