[netCDF #DTX-704143]: netCDF 3.6.2 on mac OSX 10.5 with intel

Tim,

This is apparently not just a netCDF problem, but common to use of the icc
compiler on
Leopard with a configure script.  This link gives one possible workaround,
setting the
compiler to "icc -no-multibyte-chars":

I thik a better solution would be to try setting your locale to C with
something like

  export LANG=C

before running the configure script.  Please let us know if that works.
