Hi Ed:

You name it, I am having the problem.  Starting with the ./configure failing to link on the conftest.  We just want to start testing the format.  A binary with includes etc would work fine.  And I am certain that I am using gfortran, I have used setenv to force it.

BTW, with Absoft I get everything configured but then  get:

cf90-855 f90fe: ERROR NETCDF, File = netcdf4.f90, Line = 36, Column = 9
  The compiler has detected errors in module "NETCDF".  No module information file will be created for this module.

Once the module fails the rest goes down with it.

I got alpha17 to build no problem, but have since found some bugs in
the fortran API of that release, which will be fixed in alpha18.

I use gfortran.

What problems are you having?
