I have an HP, but it's a hp9000 - I'm not sure whether it's binary
compatible.

There are 64-bit binaries in:
/home/ftp/pub/binary/hpux_11.00-hp9000/netcdf-3.6.0-p1.tar.Z.

If this doesn't work, try getting the latest release, and building it
in accordance with the instructions here:

http://my.unidata.ucar.edu/content/software/netcdf/docs/netcdf-install/Building-on-64-Bit-Platforms.html

Good luck,

Ed
