I believe that you must rebuild the netCDF library with the version 8.1
ifc(1) compiler.  Apparently, there are differences between the two
Intel Fortran compilers.  Information on the environment variable
settings necessary for version 7.1 and 8.1 can be found at

Be sure to use the "-mp" option.
