If you look at the netCDF home page you'll see there is a MATLAB port
available from the homepage.

If you would prefer visual basic, I have a beta visual basic wrapper
class. You must be using VB.NET for that to work.

There are also other language ports available via the netCDF web site
at:

http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/netcdf
