[netCDF #HJG-499978]: Compiling a netCDF library using Intel Visual

Hi,

We have a pre-built experimental DLL for netCDF-3.6.2 available for download:

  ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/netcdf/contrib/win32/win32_ifort_dll.tar.gz

Also Intel is now providing information about how to build netCDF using the
ifort
compiler:

  http://www.intel.com/support/performancetools/sb/CS-027812.htm

providing instructions for building netCDF (without using the pgiFortran
flag). But it only
applies to Linux and Mac OS X. However, there is some additional information
here:

  http://softwarecommunity.intel.com/isn/Community/en-US/forums/30237373/ShowThread.aspx
  http://softwarecommunity.intel.com/isn/Community/en-US/forums/thread/30235247.aspx

Finally, we maintain an FAQ answer about the status of building on Windows
here:

  http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/docs/faq.html#windows

I hope some of this helps ...
