[netCDF #YKE-495629]: about using gfortran to complie netcdf



Hi Saunei,

The netcdf-3.6.2 version works fine with gfortran, if that compiler is in your
PATH and
found by the "configure" script.  You can also set the FC environment variable
explicitly
to point to gfortran if necessary.

Here is an example of the output of a successful build with gfortran on a Linux
platform:

  http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/builds/3_6_2/nc3_make_distcheck_out.txt

and here are the instructions for making and installing, including how to set
which compiler
to use:
