parallel netCDF

Hi Harsh,

I noticed you have a beta version of a parallel netCDF library using
MPI-I/O:

  http://hpcf.nersc.gov/software/libs/io/netcdf/sp/pusage.html

This would be very useful to other netCDF users who have been asking
about such a library.  I would like to let others know about your
achievement if it becomes available.  

We have incorporated a couple of fixes into our netCDF 3.5.1 beta10
version of the library that are specifically for parallel use:

  ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/netcdf/netcdf-3.5.1-beta10.tar.Z

These were discovered by another group at Northwestern University and
Argonne when they were developing a parallel netCDF library and they
contributed the bug fixes back to us, so you may be interested in
them.  Is NERSC familiar with the work of the Northwestern/Argonne
group?
