Re: 20010327: building netCDF on Win32

You can use the prebuilt binaries at:

ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/netcdf/contrib/win32/netcdf-3.5-beta5.win32bin.ZIP.

Note this is beta5, but I will be rebuilding for the new final 3.5
release (to be announced) in the next week or two.

To build your own source, get the source release at

  ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/netcdf/netcdf.zip

unpack it, then unpack

ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/netcdf/contrib/win32/netcdf-3.5-beta5.win32make.ZIP.

into the same directory. This should work with VC 6.0.
Get the README and follow it:

  ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/netcdf/contrib/win32/WIN32_README.TXT

Good luck.
