If you want to get the binary version of netCDF 3.4 (already built), just use ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/binary/hpux_10.20-hp9000/netcdf-3.4.tar.Z for your "ses" machine or ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/binary/hpux_11.00-hp9000/netcdf-3.4.tar.Z for "ges" (if it's not already there, this file will be available shortly).
