The latest, official release of the netCDF package is version 3.4.  You
should try to install that rather than version 3.3.1.  It's available at

The above error message are in the file "config.log", which is created
by the configure script.  As indicated at the top of that file, you may
safely ignore the warning messages in the file.

Would you please send me items A through H mentioned at the end of the
file INSTALL.  Additionally, please send me a listing of the contents of
your "libnetcdf.a" library using the ar(1) utility.  Please send these
things as included plain text and not as attachments.
