We created and support the netCDF packge. We neither created nor
support GMT (that's someone else's problem :-).

Unfortunately, the file "config.log" isn't too useful for diagnosing
installation problems (unless the problem is very severe -- like no
compiler!) because it's designed to contain error messages from the
configure script as the script investigates the features of your system
(something that's guaranteed to generate error messages!).

In order to help me diagnose your problem, would you please do the
following:

    1. Send me the standard output from the command "uname -a".

    2. Go to the top-level netCDF source directory.

    3. Remove the file "config.cache" if it exists.

    4. Execute the configure script as before. Send me its *standard*
output (the output that normally prints to the screen).

    5. Execute the command "make". Send me its standard output.

Email will suffice.
