The current release of netCDF 2.3.2 won't work on 64-bit IRIX platforms.  We
had to modify the source code of the library for platforms that had 64-bit
longs.  We aren't quite done with the new release containing these changes,
but you can get source for an unsupported pre-release that should work with
IRIX64 from the directory

The file name is irix64-alpha.tar.Z.
