You can access an online version of the netCDF manual at WWW URL:
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/netcdf/index.html
A postscript version of the manual is included with the distribution which
is accessbile by anonymous ftp at ftp.unidata.ucar.edu in the pub/netcdf
directory.
