[IDV #CGO-734297]: Directory Data load error

No, we're on the same page.  The times have always defaulted to whatever
is set in the Data Source properties, whether the "Use Default" option
has been selected or not.  There is the possibility that different fields
can have different times (e.g. there is no analysis for total precip).
We'll probably change to be more consistent with the level, area and stride -
if the previously selected option is compatible with the new field
(i.e., they have the same times), then we will go with what you selected
the last time.

I was also talking about within a particular data source.  Thanks
