Hi Baird, 

What is your machine name that you are running the LDM on?

REQUEST ANY is a BIG request, and you will not be feeding from us, so you will 
want to remove that line, the line I mentioned earlier is in your ldmd.conf 
under begin access control:


# Begin Access control
###############################################################################
#

#
###############################################################################
# ALLOW: Who we are willing to feed
#
# allow <feedset> <hostname pattern>
###############################################################################
#

allow   ANY
    ^((localhost|loopback)|(127\.0\.0\.1\.?$)|([a-z].*\.unidata\.ucar\.edu\.?$))


..and once we can resolve your hostname, we will pass that on to U of Albany to 
place an "allow" for your machine to request lightning.
