The interpolation routines are called from: 
$GEMPAKHOME/source/programs/gd.gdvint/vivint.f (calls to vc_quad, vc_lnin)

Where possible, the quadratic interpolation using log pressure are performed,
otherwise, a linear interpolation using lon pressure is performed.
