19990629: [GEMPLT -46] Error



Brian,

The X session on the remote display should be in 256 color (pseudo color)
mode for the default visual that Gempak will contact. You can verify this
using the "xdpyinfo" command.

Try launching "ntl". If the command responds that less than the requested
number of colors are available, then closing other applications like
netscape, or launching ntl with reduced color requirements may work.

If ntl cannot allocate colors, then it seems that Gempak is not being
allowed to allocate collors- which is typical behavior of an X server
running in true color mode.
