Re: problem w/sfedit program

Steve:

I've found the problem, and I apologize for bothering you with it. I
should of known after 12 hours doing data analysis, what can happen to
the old brain! When I looked at it fresh this morning, I immediately
saw that the STID format was wrong.

Thanks for your time...Brian

Attn: Steve Chiswell

Hi Steve:

You were very helpful to me a couple of years ago in setting up a new
file using sfcfil and sfedit. Since then I have used this technique
several times in conjunction with the Barnes Objective analysis programs
to plot irregular spaced data.

Now, just when I think I'm good at this, Murphy raises his head! I ran
into a problem getting sfedit to allow me to add the station data to my
.gem file. I'm receiving a [sfedit 2] error for all 57 stations. The
following is a copy of my output:

I've double checked the format in the station file (circle_sta.dat) and
don't see anything wrong with the data file (circle_data.dat) either.
Since these files are small, I've attached a copy in case you want to
examine them on your platform.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks...Brian
