I have another question. When I plot up temp and mixing ratio, it
contours with values TMPC*10 and SMXR*10, even though I don't remember
ever setting those parameters to ten times the observed value. Any
ideas on what I could be doing wrong?

I have two grid files created. THe first is the one that dumped me out
at the 2000 time period (if you recall that conversation yesterday). I
can plot earlier hourlies from this file. The second is just a single
dattim and a single parameter, TMPC.  The single gridded files gives me
TMPC in the usual degrees C as expected. The other files with eight
paramters and times from 0000-1900 gives me the TMPC*10 and SMXR*10
plotted data. I don't understand why the difference.
